The study compared private land ownership data from the US Department of Agriculture and Forest Health Technology Enterprise Team to data from Talladega National Forest officials. The amount of private land within Shoal Creek according to Talladega officials was 9 acres more than the USDA data. While the difference was small at 0.000164%, it showed the data sets were properly analyzed and the difference between them was miniscule.
