Giethoorn is a village in Holland without streets, as residents travel between homes by boat through 125 kilometers of waterways. Known as the "Venice of the North", the village has no roads, only footpaths and boat canals. Tourism is a major part of the local economy as visitors explore the scenic waterways by boat or electric boat.
