• Continuously following the macro –economic situation in the country and
impacts on vulnerable families and children-Social sector financing issues
• GOG engagement with IMF for a bailout in 2022
• UNICEF’s internal preparation/Bilateral engagements with IMF
• Use of evidence/clear messages/key asks for securing social sector funding –SP
(LEAP)
• Building of alliances- WB, CSOs
• IMF ECF programme document section on securing social sector funding
(including LEAP) aligned with UNICEF advocacy messages –coming from existing
LEAP+ISS baseline report, previous LEAP IE on impacts and effectiveness of
LEAP targeting, BB and fiscal space analysis
• Going forward- Creating demand to ensure sustainability post ECF-working with
CSOs, MPS, MoF. Promoting efficiency of the social sectors-PFM
