Germs
•Are microscopic organism
like bacteria and viruses.
They can cause many
communicable or
infectious diseases that
make children your age
weak and sick.
•Germs are so small that
they attack you in different
ways.
•Germs are passed from one person’s
body or clothing to an another
person through direct contact.
•Sometimes, germs carried by
the air.
•There are also time when germs
are passed through blood
contact.
•Lastly germs may spread
through fecal-oral
transmission.
There are lots of ways to prevent you
from having diseases. Here are some
of them:
• Wash your hands after using the toilet.
• Use clean tissue paper then throw them in
trash can immediately after use.
•Wash your hands before eating.
•Cough and sneeze on your elbow or cover
your mouth and nose with clean tissue
paper or handkerchief when you cough
or sneeze so that germs cannot spread to
your hands.
•Maintain a healthy immune system.
•Eat healthful foods.
•Drink plenty of water.
•Play and exercise regularly to
strengthen your muscle.
•Rest when you are tired and
sleep at least nine hours a day.
Immunization
• One of the best way to fight germs is through
immunization.
• Through immunization your body is given a
medicine to fight a disease.
•These vaccines contain
weakened or dead pathogens
that produce antibodies.
Your community is threatened
by disease caused by germs. You
will be a responsible soldier who
will protect yourself and your
friends against it to prevent
illnesses. Draw a one way to
avoid getting and spreading
