This job posting is for a permanent geologist position with an international oil and gas company based in Stavanger, Norway. The salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience modeling salt tectonics and site/area strategy using Petrel and RMS software. Daily responsibilities will include monitoring existing oil fields, interpreting basin plays, and identifying new drilling prospects through reservoir modeling and well performance analysis. Experience in the North Sea is preferred but not required.

1. Geologist.<br />This is a permanent position for a company based in Stavanger, Norway for an international company.<br />The salary will be a negation between the company and the candidate, but as the contact person informed me about this is well paid jobs. As she tells me it’s difficult to inform about the salary up front without knowing the experiences and knowledge to the candidate.<br />The candidate: <br />Need Geo Experiences with modeling and development, experiences with: salt tektonikk, site/area strategy, experiences with Petrel and RMS. He/she must like the practical part of being a geologist. The candidate should also be capable of planning and executing field work planning of the wells.<br />You will first of all work with fields already in operation, mostly old fields/wells, monitoring of wells.<br />Candidates will be required to apply a broad range of development geoscience skills, both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Tasks will involve interpretation of basin play types, identification and justification of appraisal drilling prospects utilizing reservoir modeling and the interpretation of well performance.<br />It can be an advantage with experience in North Sea, But not a must.You may have at least 5 years of experience.<br />Send application and cv to <br />sigve.aspelund@lyse.net<br />
