This course is an introduction to cultural geography of North America. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:20 PM. Students will learn about the various cultural influences that have shaped North America over time, including settlement and migration patterns, economic activities, and ethnic groups. Assessment will include chapter quizzes, map quizzes and tests, regular tests, a final exam, discussions, and a research paper on students' family histories in North America. The required textbook is Regional Landscapes of the US and Canada and students must maintain a minimum 60% grade to pass the course.
