With this abundance of time, the show has to explore more territory
and introduce more characters in order to offer more variety and

The content is usually more acceptable for younger audiences as
extremely violent/sexual/adult content isn’t allowed to be broadcast
for everyone.
A more dedicated fan-base needs to be established because there
are less showings than film, meaning less chances to reach the
audience.
The makers have to work faster and think ahead in order to deliver
the story in a timely manor in time for the showings.

Has to offer more immediate progression of story with its time restraints.
With an hour or two to get the message across, the semiotics behind the images are often
more straightforward and frequent.
The tension has less time to build and the climaxes have to be delivered periodically.
The filmmakers can afford to have less characters, yet more who are dispensable.
The characters themselves aren’t required to be deep or lovable as what happens around
them/to them is more important.
With ratings and age restrictions, the extreme nature of the content is almost limitless.
Unless a lower rating is desired, the film has little to no boundaries as to how violent and
disturbing it can be.
The makers can decide if they want a sequel or not judging by how many people see the
film. They have numerous daily showings to reach a wider audience and receive reception
to the film.
Filming or editing can be delayed(with reason) and the film can be released at any time of
the year.

9. In General, horror films have a point to get
across faster. The target demographic consists of
people who actively seek this kind of film instead
of a person who may accidently find a TV show.
