Ensure that open end of block faces the metal surface to be coated /
blocks can be inserted only from the back end of the applicator

Mounting information:

a. Insert blocks into the applicator as shown above (open end of block faces the metal surface
to be coated, tapered end against the spring);
b. Leave a max. 6-8 mm space between the applicator mouth and metal surface;
c. Applicator should ideally be in a perpendicular position to metal surface (approx. 45 º angle
when used on flanges / see example in product literature regarding crane wheels);
d. Do not weld applicator directly to machinery – use an interface (extra plate, angle iron,
clamp, etc.)
e. If necessary, turn applicator so that the block face only coats actual wear surface. Block
should also not be in a position of extending beyond the flange edges. Coating additional,
non-worn surface would waste the SPC and shorten block-life.

This picture shows an example of a SPC DRR-5.0L Block System
with 5 spring-loaded, steel applicators.

The number of required blocks / applicators or size of the unit depends upon the
width of the trunnions or rings to be coated.

Type TSB-085-DRR Blocks are used on supporting trunnions and thrust rollers.

SPC blocks are to be inserted from the rear side of each applicator.
