Presentation given a the 27th Annual International Cycling History Conference in New Haven, CT. The American bicycle boom of the 1890s had wide-ranging social and economic impacts. Religious institutions had to contend with this new disruptive technology. Some clergymen thought the bicycle was the work of the devil, while others embraced it as a tool for evangelism.
Students attended this presentation on the history of the integration of Jesuit High School of New Orleans, given by alumni director Mat Grau ’68 and director of student activities Michael Prados ’83.
The 50th Anniversary of the integration of Jesuit High School was celebrated Feb. 25-March 1 with a series of events, films, concerts, and panel discussions for students.

This production is used when I visit my old school, St Joseph’s College Geelong to reflect on my life and values as an “old boy” of SJC. I hold life membership of the SJC Ald Collegians Association.
An historical overview of my life memories and experiences growing up in Geelong. In 1964 i attended the first Australian National Altar servers Congress in Tasmania. It was also my first flight on a TAA plane.
