- *Target Audience:* Defined and segmented the target audience to tailor brand messages effectively.
- *Brand Strategy:* Developed a detailed brand strategy to enhance market presence and appeal.

Breaking Silos To Break Bank: Shattering The Divide Between Search And SocialNavah Hopkins
At Mozcon 2024 I shared this deck on bridging the divide between search and social. We began by acknowledging that search-first marketers are used to different rules of engagement than social marketers. We also looked at how both channels treat creative, audiences, bidding/budgeting, and AI. We finished by going through how they can win together including UTM audits, harvesting comments from both to inform creative, and allowing for non-login forums to be part of your marketing strategy.
I themed this deck using Baldur's Gate 3 characters: Gale as Search and Astarion as Social

Being one of the “mega trends” that has significantly impacted the Switzerland.
Switzerland tourism system, the role and use of social media in travellers’ decision
making and in tourism operations and management have been widely discussed in
tourism and hospitality research. This study reviews and analyzes all extant social
media-related research articles published in academic journals during 2007 to 2011,
mainly in tourism and hospitality fields. Based on a content analysis on the analyzed
articles from both the consumers' and the suppliers' perspectives, this article found
that consumer-centric studies generally focused on the use and impact of social
media in the research phase of the travelers’ travel planning process. Supplier-
related studies have concentrated closely on promotion, management, and research
functions, but few discussed product distribution. Research findings thoroughly
demonstrate the strategic importance of social media for tourism competitiveness.

research voids in extant research and providing an agenda for future research.

usually common to several communities)
The federal constitution in principle reserves the areas of foreign relations, the army,
customs examinations and tariffs, value added taxes and the legislation on currency,
measure and weight, railways and communications to the confederation. On the
other hand only the cantons (and some major cities) do have armed police forces,
run hospitals and universities (with the exception of two federal institutes of
technology). Legislation on public schools is made by the cantons, resulting in 26
different education systems, but the public schools are actually run by the
communes, much like many other public services (like water supply and garbage
collection). The confederation, the cantons and the communes do collect income
taxes .to finances their affairs.

system is in crisis, but the changing international environment has generated a
significant re-examination of Swiss policy in key areas such as defence, neutrality,

population of each canton. Members of both houses serve for 4 years and only serve
as members of parliament part-time.

affairs, divides the powers between the Confederation and the cantons and defines
federal jurisdiction and authority
MAJOR LEGISLATION BODIES
NATIONAL COUNCIL
The National Council is Switzerland's "house of representatives". The 200 members
are elected every four years according to a refined proportional representation
system in principle, but since every canton forms a constituency and cantons have
extremely different numbers of inhabitants, five smaller cantons may only send one
deputy to the national council, which results in majority elections for these deputies.
COUNCIL OF STATES
The Council of States represents the cantons (like the U.S. senate). Most cantons
may send two members. For historical reasons, six cantons are considered half-
cantons and may send only, giving a total of 46 members. The rules how to elect the
members are made under cantonal legislation, so they may differ from canton to
canton. A majority of cantons does elect their members of the Council of States
every four years on the same day as the members of the National Council, however.

Highly dependency on tourists, which are highly sensitive to political events.
High seasonal dependency for most part of the sector.
Low level of skills and education, working conditions etc.
Perceived to be a low status employment sector.
O-OPPURTUNITY
The ageing population could be a boost for the integrated services of the
catering sub-sector
Changes in the gender structures, more women entering the labour market.
Also this means an opportunity for the sector to get the needed labour.
The trend of higher demands on quality could add value to the sector.
Concerns for climate and health are also trends that potentially add value to
products and services.
Increasing globalisation, leading to more international travellers and tourists,
especially from emerging economies.
81. T-THREATS
The big black market is a threat to working conditions, which in the long run
is a threat to the sector's competitiveness when it comes to recruiting skilled
staff.

thereby hurt the sector.
An ageing population makes it even harder to recruit labour.
The educational system is ageing and might, if not renewed, jeopardise the
quality of the sector.
For the catering industry there is a trend to invest less in food for employees
and to put taxes on these kinds of wage benefits.
