If you want to choose a DT subject you should choose the material area
that you enjoy the most.
3. Here are some slides showing the year 10 GCSE
joint DT project completed in the first few weeks
of year 10.
This year the theme was Italy.
Other themes from past years…Ikea; Japan….
Each material area uses the theme to deliver skills
in their area.
The boards are on display in the foyer and LRC.
4. Textiles Technology

Students work with fabrics and components;
CAD packages; drawing and sketching
techniques; manufacturing personal items;
and Fashion and Interior design.

of garments using a range decorative
techniques based upon the Italian theme.

particular culture in it’s decoration and is
suitable for the teenage market.

for the Italian Tourism board. They have
developed a range of products displaying
their concepts.
