Gas Station Door Step is a startup company that aims to increase safety, convenience and decrease credit card fraud by delivering fuel directly to customers' homes or locations. The company was founded by Madison Wentworth based on her experiences with safety concerns at gas stations and credit card fraud. The company's goals are to expand to three cities within a year and sign additional fuel contracts to serve more customer needs.

For decades consumers have been pleading with us: “Please give us a reason to do business with you other than price, other than ‘Push, Pull or Tow’, other than goofy ads and a carnival atmosphere in your showroom. I’m about to fork over thirty thousand or more of my hard earned dollars, please treat me like an intelligent, adult consumer. Respect me, take care of me, treat me fairly and honestly and I will reward you with loyalty.” Building a bond of trust, caring about the things that are important to your customers, becoming involved in the community are factors which set the really strong stores apart from the pack. Vets-Cars is an incredibly powerful form of caused based marketing. It is a Why Buy Here identity process which has proven to resonate very positively with members of the military and veteran community, a forty million strong consumer demographic.

Digital Dealer 23 - Settling the Traditional v Digital DebateDave Spannhake
As the landscape of automotive advertising changed, two camps have emerged: traditional marketing and digital marketing. This segmented philosophy left many dealerships behind the curve, forging through a continual drop in gross margins and wasted ad dollars. A greater and greater number of consumers began spending the majority of their car buying process researching online and started visiting fewer dealerships, which has made it vital to understand how and when consumers make a decision to buy. It’s time to think differently — traditional versus digital… it’s time to end the debate.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. Mission Statement
Gas Station Door Step is designed by my interest in helping a
community where everyone could benefit from. This company’s
goal is to increase safety and convenience, while decreasing
credit card fraud and hassle. Gas Station Door Step is built as a
secure and reliable business that will fuel your vehicles at your
very own home. This idea came to me as things changed when I
went away for college and had to fill up my own gas tank from
then on. Questioning my safety at night and having gone through
more than three credit cards already, made me believe many
could also relate, hence the foundation of Gas Station Door Step!
This company is geared for it’s customers, not itself. Caring more
about delivering satisfaction by helping people while helping the
environment.
3. Rationale
Almost everyone over the legal driving age can relate to the
annoyance of having to stop at a gas station. Gas Station Door Step is
here to change that, one fueling at a time. Not only would customers
love the accessibility, but the environment would too. That is less cars
wasting gas going to and from the gas station instead of directly to
their destination. My company includes a tanker truck which holds the
fuel that will be delivered directly to your location. Your location will
be shared when making an appointment for your vehicle to be fueled.
You will get the fuel you need with less harm to the environment and
more options on how you’d like to pay, minus the possibility of credit
card fraud! Cut out the unnecessary time in your day by having your
vehicle fueled at the convenience of your home whenever you want.
My company will calculate the average fuel price over a five-mile
radius and then proceed to add 0.10 to each gallon purchased and an
additional $3.00 convenience fee. Customers are still saving their
precious time, money and safety. One call or text away, and you will
be fueled at home today!
4. Goals
Expand to three cities within a year
Cut back on advertising within six months because
my business will be well known
After two successful years that have shown
expediential growth, I will sign another fueling
contract to incorporate jet fuel and racecar fuel (Jet
A and Avgas) that will expand my customer’s needs
After a customer’s first fueling, give them a survey
to fill out and receive all positive feedback
Create a regular clientele
5. Target Audience
My general target audience would be residential communities. They would be
interested in helping fund my business so they would be able to give their
potential residence more incentive to move in. Such communities can now
offer my services to their owners/renters, which is a win/win. Also, not only
would I be receiving funding, but also unpaid marketing! In expansion, my
grandparents would also be considered a target audience. They have a very
large amount of money that would be inherited amongst my family in the
future, so I plan to persuade them that my small business would be worth
every cent of theirs. Once I have something to show for like beginning
success, I believe they would have great interest in funding my start-up of
this company since they would benefit greatly as a customer as well.
6. Stakeholders
Funders are residential communities. Communities that
can range from elderly ones, gates, homeowners or even
apartments. Along with them, my grandparents would be
later included in helping my business expand and become
even more successful. A sponsor of mine would be my
best friend, Megan Johnson, because she has a farm and
is willing to donate some of her land for my tanker trucks
to park on. I will not have a partnership, but instead, I
will have several employees. One needs to be an
accountant to deal with all the numbers, income vs.
expenses, and all the inventory for fuel. Then I will have
12 certified drivers that are able to lift a certain amount
of weight in order to perform the fuel orders. And 3
unpaid advertising interns that will at least get their gas
tanks filled for free. And obviously, anybody who would
like to get fueled at the convenience of their own home
would be my customers!
7. SWOT Analysis…
Strengths- Positive representation of company (strong advertising), hard-
working employees, dedication and priority for customers, organization, easy

demand more work than others (scheduling employees), time management
(traffic)
Opportunities- Expanding to different cities, creating more jobs, less demand
for advertising because positive customer reviews/regular clienteles and word
of mouth
Threats- Emergence of competing companies, employees demand for
benefits, higher wages and desired work hours
