Garlic is a plant with light gray to white bulbs, green stems, and purplish red flowers that grows 30 cm tall. Scientifically known as Allium vineale, it typically grows in dry soil in Southeast Asia and needs about 30 inches of rain annually. Garlic is beneficial as it helps prevent diseases, contains protein, carbohydrates, and fiber, helps purify the air, and can help lower high cholesterol.
