• Voodoo Dolls: 100% damage transference
instead of 70%
• Frail Soul debuff: 30s debuff that will kill players
attempting to return to the spirit world
• 3 Severer of Souls for the tanks to defeat, 2 of
them visible to the raid
5. Normal World Strategy
• Tanks
• Rotate CDs and mitigation buffs,
• Prioritise absorption effects on normal attacks, and mitigation
effects on Shadowy Attacks
• Minimize incoming damage
• Healers
• Absorption effects are ignored by Shadowy Attacks
• Prioritise healing the Voodoo Dolls instead of your tanks as they
are the most vulnerable
• DPS
• Maximum DPS output
• Use defensive CDs when you have the Voodoo Doll debuff
• Keep track of the Frail Soul debuff
6. Spirit World Strategy
• Tanks
• Prioritise the Severer of Souls your raid can’t see
• Finish off any Severer of Souls your raid hasn’t
killed yet
• Healers
• Top up the DPS quickly
• Regain as much mana as you can
• Get out
• DPS
• Prioritise the Severer of Souls
• DoT as many as you can, finish off low HP ones
• Get out
7. Special Mechanics
• Spiritual Innervation
• Gained by receiving healing while in the spirit world
• DPS: Increased DPS with class specific buffs (haste,
mastery, etc)
• Healers: Increased mana regeneration
• Return Soul Ability
• After healed to 100% of their HP, while inside the spirit
world players will receive the Return Soul ability. When
clicked the ability will return the player to the normal
world
• If a player does not exit the spirit world within 30’’ of
their entrance, they die
8. Special Phases
• At 20% HP Gara’jal increases his melee haste
by 50% and his damage by 25%
• Access to the Spirit World no longer available
• Typical burn phase
• At enrage timer (6’) Gara’jal will instantly kill all
the players
