Projects Overview
Hendre/Hafod Housing Association: Multiple bathroom & kitchen refurbishment, ramped
access and void/mortgage rescue refurbishment contracts. Managing multiple trades and sub
contractors, being responsible for health and safety, material orders, co-coordinating labour, liaising
with tenants, ensuring projects are started and finished within time allotted and ensuring quality is
paramount and in line with housing association specifications. Contract is rolling and value of all
works combined in excess of 750k per annum.
HBOS and LBG Insurance: Using the same directly employed labour and network of
subcontractors, work includes major loss insurable works from fire or flood with each individual job
valued at a minimum of 30k thru to 70k, subsidence/structural works to various properties with
each individual job valued at a minimum of 25k thru to 70k and multiple small insurance claims
ranging from £500 thru to 20k. The work is varied and involves multiple properties both
commercial and domestic, duties include liaising with policy holders, claims handlers and loss
adjusters, coordinating labour and sub-contractors, ensuring health and safety is adhered to and
projects are finished within time and quality being paramount. Total contract value per annum in
excess of £1million.
First Choice Housing Association: Reactive and planned maintenance contract for multiple
properties in South Wales as well as tendered refurbishment projects to kitchens, bathrooms, and
exterior works and ramp schemes. Duties the same as all the above except that reactive work must
be completed within strict deadlines. Due to the nature of the tenants (disabled) a sympathetic and
understanding approach was ALWAYS necessary. Contract value in excess of 100k per annum.
Other: Various new build and refurbishment projects, ranging from small domestic extensions
through to extensions and refurbishment works on various commercial properties.
Possess experience from tradesman level through to working foreman, site manager/supervisor and
now contract management and surveyor level in all aspects of construction work from small to
large-scale projects.
