MEDICAL SERVICES DENTAL SERVICES NURSING SERVICES MEDICAL OFFICER
Medical Officer shall:
1. render four (4) hours per week of medical services in Diffun
Campus;
2. conduct routine medical examination to students;
3. examine students reported to be suffering from ailments and
prescribe pharmaceuticals and other medication to treat the
identified and documented medical conditions of patients;
4. execute medical examination to student athletes;
5. order laboratory and radiology test and refer patients to
specialist when appropriate and called for;
6. analyze test results and examinations to diagnose condition
of patients and propose treatment; and,
7. render medical attention to in-campus student patients.
UNIVERSITY DENTIST
University Dentist shall:
1. conduct groups and individual dental health education;
2. perform mouth examination and other dental services such
as oral prophylaxis, tooth extraction and restoration;
3. give post-operative instructions to all patients who had
undergone tooth extractions;
4. prescribe medicines for the clients
5. refer difficult cases to senior dentist;
6. maintain functional university dental clinic;
7. prepare and submit periodic and annual report;
8. check the proper sanitation and healthful conditions the
university and community; and,
9. attend in all government activities such as dental and medical
mission.

2. NURSE
The nurse shall:
1. conduct annual Health Inspection
2. perform nursing assessment, nursing care and treatment,
health counseling for health consultations of sick clients;
3. dispense medicine prescribed by the physician;
4. treat minor ailments and give prompt care to emergency
circumstances;
5. make referral of cases;
6. serve as first aider during sports and university events;
7. maintain functional campus clinic;
8. conduct sanitary inspection, maintain potability of water
source and coordinate with proper authority;
9. act as resource and consultant on health matters;
10. serve as health educator regarding updated health
information;
11. serve as link, plan, program and implement activities
coordinated by the DOH and other health agencies;
12. prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports; and,
13. perform extension services and other health related
work.
HEALTH AID
The HEALTH AID shall:
1. assist dentist in giving dental service, especially during
tooth extraction and oral prophylaxis;
2. prepare needed materials in providing dental service to
students;
3. assist physician in giving medical service;
4. assist nurse in giving quality care during treatment and
consultation and during pandemic;
5. prepare and organize health files;
6. file and sort data records;
7. encode and document files;
8. prepare the physical set-up of the clinic;
9. maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the clinic
conducive to the patient’s rehabilitation;
10. perform other health related works.
