1. JCI claimed a front seat base (FSB) on November 3rd, 2014 due to anomalous free play in the recliner mechanism on the left hand side.
2. The FSB was produced on February 4th, 2014 and claimed on March 11th, 2014. Testing found anomalous free play in the mechanism when mounted on a static test bench.
3. Comparison with current production FSBs found them to be operating correctly. The root cause was determined to be excessive movement of a pin in the mechanism.
This document discusses propaganda during World War 1. It includes a fragment from a 1917 speech by Woodrow Wilson to Congress where he states that the world must be made safe for democracy and peace must be planted on a foundation of political liberty. Wilson asserts that America has no selfish ends and seeks no conquest or dominion, but rather aims to champion the rights of mankind and be satisfied once those rights are securely established.
There are currently two main ways for civilians to travel to space. Virgin Galactic offers suborbital spaceflights aboard SpaceShipTwo, taking passengers on brief trips to the lower edges of space at an altitude of 361,000 feet for a current ticket price of $250,000. Over the next decade, Richard Branson predicts the price will come down significantly. The document also mentions the possibility of future space hotels in low Earth orbit. Currently, the only way to experience an extended trip to space is by becoming an astronaut through programs like NASA, which has lost approximately 3% of astronauts during re-entry, considered the most dangerous part of space travel.

- The document discusses model-driven testing using the UML 2.0 Testing Profile (U2TP). U2TP bridges the gap between system designers and testers by allowing tests to be specified using UML models.
- A methodology is presented for developing test designs from system models. This involves defining a test package, importing system classes and interfaces, and specifying test architecture and behavior.
- Test architecture defines concepts like the system under test, test components, test context, and test control. Test behavior is specified using interactions, state machines, and other UML behaviors.
- Model transformations are used to convert UML system models into U2TP-compliant test models. Transformation rules map
The document discusses Bitonic sort, a parallel sorting algorithm that is well-suited for SIMD array processors. It begins with background on sorting and parallel approaches. It then describes the characteristics of SIMD array processors, including single instruction, multiple data execution and multiple processing elements. The main part of the document outlines the Bitonic sort algorithm, which works by repeatedly merging sublists into larger Bitonic lists until the full list is sorted. It provides an example of sorting 8 elements to illustrate the algorithm's stages of building monotonic and Bitonic lists. Bitonic sort runs in O(log n) time on SIMD array processors by performing sorting operations in parallel across processing elements.
This audit report summarizes Kiwa's 2-day inspection of Phono Solar's photovoltaic module manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China. The factory has 3 automated production lines and is part of a larger renewable energy company owned by SUMEC Group Corporation. Kiwa's inspection focused on the production process, quality management system, product testing, and ISO/OHSAS documentation. Kiwa found Phono Solar's quality management system to be robust with only 4 minor non-conformities identified in production and quality inspection areas. The in-line product testing of randomly selected modules showed that quality meets Phono Solar's standards. Overall the audit results indicated that the factory's manufacturing process conforms to the required standards

This document outlines the quality control plan for well control equipment provided by NOV Devin. It describes the planning, documentation review, inspection, assembly and testing processes. Key steps include:
1. Planning the project and assigning responsible personnel.
2. Reviewing equipment documentation like data books and maintenance records.
3. Inspecting, assembling and testing equipment according to customer requirements and equipment specific procedures. This includes non-destructive testing, pressure testing, and addressing any non-conformances.
4. Preparing inspected equipment for staging and shipment. Quality inspections are performed with representation from the customer and third parties.
The document outlines Jabil's Production Part Approval Process (JPPAP) for purchased components from suppliers. It defines the purpose, scope, responsibilities, and procedures for the JPPAP. Key aspects covered include levels of submission, approval statuses, definitions of terms, and requirements for submission documents and samples. The goal is to ensure suppliers can meet manufacturability and quality requirements for purchased components.
The document provides guidance for SMART team personnel at XYZ on creating standard assembly numbers in their customer service system. It outlines 6 steps for accessing and navigating relevant menus and screens to generate an assembly number and send it to synchronization. Key actions include exploding bills of material for issues, comparing BOMs, and entering required customer and order information.
This inspection report summarizes the findings of a commercial property inspection. Defects identified include the need for emergency lighting on stairwell landings, the lack of a firewall above a dropped ceiling posing a fire hazard, and vulnerable access to utilities in the mechanical room. The report also notes spalling concrete, a bowed foundation wall, roof repairs as a potential leak source, high water pressure, and plumbing and electrical issues. The attic space could not be fully inspected due to limited access.

Final consideration:
1. Assuming that the claimed FSB, produced more than 1 month before the claim, didn’t
suffered any anomalous localized forcing and deforming event, we have to say that the
anomalous free play detected is quite rare on the mechanism.
2. The problem cannot be generated during the production process at PMC Doo since it
consists of simply welding on dedicated welding jigs, with no anomalous efforts or
deformations.
3. The problem is localized on the component supplier will be informed immediately
By official complaint and preventive further check will adopted by PMC on the production
Line at the FSB testing station as described at the following page.
4. The event is really isolated and there is no risk of more frequent or epidemic occurrences
Based on the products defects/claims history on the product, assuming that the problem
Is due to a mechanism supplying problem.
7. 7FSB CLAIMED BY JCI ON 11_3_14 – Second level analysis PMC – Corporate Quality Dept 12_3_14
Preventive check on the product to be kept until a definitive settling from the supplier
will not come and a definite acknowledgment will not be reached on the problem root cause source.
The check shall be done at the FSB production testing station: a proper
Force shall be applied on “+/- Z” in order to detect easily the free play. On the part shall be put
A green spot on the mechanism pin (inner side) after the check. The check can be easily done
Also at the seat maker line for safety check on the current stock.
