Wilfred Nas gave a presentation on some of the less exciting but still important parts of HTML5. He discussed new semantic HTML5 elements like
,
,
,
, and
and how they make pages more logical and readable. He also covered new form input types like date, email, url, number and range. However, browser support for these features is still inconsistent, with differences between Firefox, Safari, and Opera. Nas believes HTML5 has potential to make markup more semantic and transferable in the future.
