1) The document discusses an IoT big data platform from Huawei Cloud that uses various technologies to ensure safety throughout the lifecycle of engineering structures.

EI intelligent twins can help upgrade industries in three ways:
1) They improve efficiency by handling repetitive, high-volume work.
2) They transfer expertise from experts to assist less experienced workers.
3) They can collaborate across domains to solve problems beyond human intelligence alone.
Saad Metz, Executive Vice President of Audi China, gave a keynote speech at Huawei Connect 2018 about partnerships between Audi and Huawei to develop connected and automated vehicle technologies. He discussed how they conducted the first comprehensive vehicle-to-infrastructure demonstration in China in 2017 and plan to enhance collaboration to develop China-specific automated driving and vehicle-to-everything functions. Metz also previewed demonstrations of these technologies at the 2018 WIoT Expo and announced cooperation on training academies and research for fully automated driving.
Huawei's AI strategy involves three parts:
1) Invest in basic AI research to develop more data-efficient, energy-efficient, secure, and explainable machine learning capabilities.
2) Build a full-stack portfolio of AI solutions adaptable to cloud, edge, and device scenarios, providing abundant and affordable computing power through simple and efficient platforms.
3) Collaborate widely and develop an open ecosystem and talent pool, while also strengthening existing products and services with AI.

Huawei has released its Global Industry Vision (GIV) 2025, a new forward-looking report that provides quantitative and qualitative predictions about the future of industry and society.
Relying on Huawei's own business strengths and insights into industry trends, GIV 2025 has its own unique research methodology. It adopts a mix of data and trend analysis to elaborate on global ICT trends and lay out the blueprint for the ICT industry. The data used in GIV 2025 spans more than 170 countries and regions. This report covers three dimensions (all things connected, all things sensing, and all things intelligent) and 37 metrics, including the amount of data generated, the percentage of enterprises that adopt artificial intelligence (AI), and the number of personal smart devices.
According to the report, by 2025 all things will be able to sense and all things will be connected, bringing us all into a world where everything is intelligent. GIV 2025 predicts that by 2025, the number of personal smart devices will reach 40 billion and the total number of connections around the world will reach 100 billion, creating a digital economy worth US$23 trillion.
