The One Handed Keyboard By: Jessica Burgess
What is FrogPad?? The FrogPad is the first one handed keyboard which has 20 regular sized keys with the most common letters on them.  In order to get to the rest of the alphabet a user just has to hit a button. (Flickr.com 2008)
Is the normal keyboard not good enough??? Sometimes a person who has a neurological or physical impairment loses function of certain body parts. These people could not access recent technologies because they couldn’t efficiently use a keyboard. The FrogPad is changing all of that!
It’s Technology Friendly! FrogPad now works with Bluetooth so that it can offer even more flexibility to its customers by being wireless. It can also hook up to any other device using a USB port. (Flickr.com 2008)
Anyone can use it… The way the way the keys are laid out FrogPad boasts that a person can learn to type as fast as 40 WPM in only 6-10 hours!  The FrogPad is also easy to afford it’s only $149.99. (Flickr.com 2008)
But I’m left handed! FrogPad makes keyboards for both the left and right hands so the side of the disability does not matter.
So many benefits Having the entire keyboard available on one hand enables an entire new population of people to be able to access new technologies like the internet.  FrogPad is compatible with virtually all new technology. Anyone can learn how to use it, left or right handed
