How Does it Work? • For Pathogens, it takes the hydrogen out of the cell which effectively inactivates the pathogen • For particulate filtration, the ions are able to clump the smaller particles together so that they are large enough to be filtrated through the filter • For VOC’s and odors, the ions break down the chemical compounds • Can reduce outdoor air due to the dilution of VOC’s, particulates, odors. Some outdoor air is still needed to help dilute CO2 concentrations
