 Created by Dick Hayne in the 70’s, Free People
was a clothing store in Philadelphia, catering to
women in their twenties.
 When success grew he opened a second store
and renamed the chain Urban Outfitters.
 To expand even more a wholesale line was
created, called Free People, and was bought in
department stores and boutiques throughout the
country.
 Urban Outfitters was immensely successful on its
own, so in 2002 the first Free People boutique
opened.
 Today, the United States
has 77 Free People
boutique locations.

(Jewelry, Bags, Tech
Covers, Home Decor)

 Intimates
