Look at all the beautiful
images of le tour Eiffel
The far right bottom is
Mme Gillis and her
friends picnic-ing on
the lawns of the Eiffel
Tower
While not in Paris, these “chateaux” are a must see
When in France. (If you look closely, you will see
Mme Gillis in on of the pics)
Did you know you could sit
Under the pyramid of the Louvre?
Le Centre
Pompidou
JUST some famous and interesting art from
le centre pompidou, Le musée du louvre et
le musée d'orsay. (I tried to take a picture
of the Mona Lisa, but it is strictly forbidden!)
Out for a night on the town at the
Opera House to see the ballet
(Palais Garnier)
La Seine, Le Sacré-Cœur, and the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci
(his tomb is actually in the chapel of Amboise, one of the palaces
from the previous slide.
You must visit them ALL when you go to France.
At the beginning of the Champs-Élysées, sits the arc de triomphe, the site of the tomb of the unknown soldier.
This is where Mme Gillis lived
when she studied abroad in France,
one of her favorite place to eat,
where we caught the train and
Le Pouce, her favorite French Monument
(who doesn’t love a giant thumb?!)
