Frame rate refers to the number of frames displayed per second in video or film. Standard frame rates are 25 fps for PAL in the UK, 30 fps for NTSC in the US, and 24 fps for film. Frame rate, also known as frame frequency, is the rate at which consecutive images called frames are produced by a device and is usually expressed in frames per second or hertz.
