This practice direction provides guidance for obtaining information about a child's arrival by air into England when a person has an order for the child's return. Specifically, it states that the judge can include a direction in the return order requiring the airline and/or immigration officer to provide arrival details. For existing return orders, the person should apply ex parte to a judge for an additional direction to access such arrival information.

This Practice Direction supplements FPR Part 12
Where a person seeks an order for the return to him of children about to arrive in England by air
and desires to have information to enable him to meet the aeroplane, the judge should be asked to
include in his order a direction that the airline operating the flight, and, if he has the information,
the immigration officer at the appropriate airport, should supply such information to that person.
To obtain such information in such circumstances in a case where a person already has an order
for the return to him of children, that person should apply to a judge ex parte for such a direction.
