The Four Noble Truths of Buddhism state that life involves suffering, suffering arises from craving and attachment to desires and pleasures, and that one can eliminate suffering by eliminating craving through following the Eightfold Path of right view, intention, speech, action, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and concentration.
