- to let cultural heritage administrators (directors, cultural heritage curators, etc.) meet italian researchers proposing concrete solutions and projects that use the ICT for improving the cultural heritage management.

Open Government Data in Europe
The European Commission promotes open government data in several ways: (1) through directives and policies regarding public sector information (PSI), scientific data, and cultural heritage data; (2) by funding projects related to linked open data and applications development; and (3) by hosting workshops and challenges to encourage open data use. The Commission is also working to review the PSI directive, launch an EU-wide open data portal, and develop recommendations around open access to scientific information.

Porto Digital Association
Porto Digital is a private association founded 2004 by the Municipality of Porto, University of Porto and the Portuguese Business Association (AEP), in cooperation with Metro do Porto, in order to promote ICT projects within the context of the city of Porto and Porto’s metropolitan area. Amongst its goals are increasing quality in education, particularly through an increased use of ICT on all levels of education; reduce bureaucracy and increase efficiency of the municipality services; contribute to reducing the digital divide; and contribute to a better quality of life in the urban area for inhabitants, workers and tourists. Porto Digital implemented in 2006-2008 a fiber-optics backbone and a public access wireless mesh network. In February 2009 Porto Digital through a PPP created an open-access telecommunications operator, in which it holds a majority stake, that up to December 2013 will be deploying FTTH to the city of Porto.

1) The Smart Cities Portfolio Working Group, chaired by the Manchester Digital Development Agency, coordinates several European projects related to smart cities and future internet technologies.

As a result of these efforts, 95% of the city now has access to 30Mbps internet and 63% has access to 100Mbps fiber, putting Bologna at the forefront of internet access in Italy. Open Government Data in Europe
The European Commission promotes open government data in several ways: (1) through directives and policies regarding public sector information (PSI), scientific data, and cultural heritage data; (2) by funding projects related to linked open data and applications development; and (3) by hosting workshops and challenges to encourage open data use. The Commission is also working to review the PSI directive, launch an EU-wide open data portal, and develop recommendations around open access to scientific information.

Porto Digital Association
Porto Digital is a private association founded 2004 by the Municipality of Porto, University of Porto and the Portuguese Business Association (AEP), in cooperation with Metro do Porto, in order to promote ICT projects within the context of the city of Porto and Porto’s metropolitan area. Amongst its goals are increasing quality in education, particularly through an increased use of ICT on all levels of education; reduce bureaucracy and increase efficiency of the municipality services; contribute to reducing the digital divide; and contribute to a better quality of life in the urban area for inhabitants, workers and tourists. Porto Digital implemented in 2006-2008 a fiber-optics backbone and a public access wireless mesh network. In February 2009 Porto Digital through a PPP created an open-access telecommunications operator, in which it holds a majority stake, that up to December 2013 will be deploying FTTH to the city of Porto.

1) The Smart Cities Portfolio Working Group, chaired by the Manchester Digital Development Agency, coordinates several European projects related to smart cities and future internet technologies.
2) These projects include CITADEL, CitySDK, Commons 4 Europe, iCity, and i-SCOPE which develop technologies like high-speed mobile apps, open source smart city app ecosystems, collaborative web applications, linked open data ecosystems, and interoperable smart city service platforms.
3) The working group aims to promote smart cities, plan collaborative work with groups like Eurocities, develop project results and links with decision makers, and participate in global networking events through 2013.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
