systyem of force ppt this ppt is of system of force whic the subject in engineering mechanis in b.tech first year student it it very helpful to the those student whondoent have dont know to how to make ppt prese ntation
2. A force is an external agency (push or pull) which
changes the state of rest or of uniform motion of a body.
(i) Produces motion in a body at rest, (ii) Stops or tries to stop a moving body, or (iii)
changes or tries to change the direction of motion of the body.
Newton's first law states that every object will remain at
rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled
to change its state by the action of an external force.
Newton's second law of motion states that the rate of
change of momentum is equal to the force acting on the
particle.
Force ∝ rate of change of momentum
∝ rate of change of (mass × velocity)
Force ∝ mass × rate of change of velocity
∝ mass × acceleration
F ∝ m×a
3. A force system is a collection of forces acting at
specified locations in one or more planes. When two or
more forces act on a body, they are called system of force.
i. Concurrent / Non-concurrent – Point
ii. Coplanar / Non-coplanar – Plane
iii. Collinear/ Non-collinear – Linear
iv. Parallel/ Non-Parallel – llel or Not
Concurrent forces: The forces, which meet at one point.
3
4. Non-concurrent Forces: The forces, which
act at different points.
Coplanar forces: The forces, whose lines of
action lie on the same plane.
Non-coplanar Forces: The forces, whose lines
of action lie on the different plane.
5. Collinear forces: The forces acting along the same line of
action.
Non-collinear forces: The forces acting along the different
lines of action.

6. Parallel Forces: The forces line of action are parallel to
each other is called parallel forces.
(b) Unlike parallel forces
8. Coplanar Collinear force system: The forces acting
along the same line in the same plane.
Coplanar Non-collinear force system: If the line of
action of forces do not lie on same palane then the
forces are called COPLANER NON-COLLINEAR
FORCE.

9. 9
Coplanar concurrent forces system: A system of two or more forces
whose line of action all intersect at a common point .
10. Coplanar Non-concurrent forces system:
Coplanar Parallel force system: (a) Like Parallel; (b)
Unlike Parallel
Coplanar Non-parallel force system: (a) Like Parallel; (b)
Unlike Parallel
Coplanar Non-concurrent non-parallel forces system:
10
11. Non-coplanar Concurrent force system: Force system in
which the line of action of forces pass through the
common point but do not have their lines of action in
the same plane.
Non-coplanar Non-parallel force system: the forces
which do not meet at one point and their lines of action
does not lie at same plane.

12. 12
Non-coplanar Non-concurrent force system: The forces which
do not meet at one point and their lines does not meet at same
plane.
Non-coplanar Parallel force system: the force which do not meet
at point but their lines of action meet at same plane are called
non coplaner force of system.
13. 13
Non-coplanar Non-concurrent Non-parallel force system
: The forces, which do not meet at one point and their
lines of action do not lie on the same plane, are called
non-coplanar non-concurrent forces.
