3. Food safety tip #1 Always remember to wash your hands before handling any type of food. You should sing your ABC’s to yourself twice or for at least 20 seconds to ensure clean hands.
5. Food safety tip #2 Fully cooked food can last for up to seven days after the original cook day. May start to go bad three or four days after cook day.
7. Food safety tip #3 Fresh produced should be cleaned before eating if it is not being peeled or cooked. To wash fresh produce run under warm running water scrubbing gently with your hands and taking off outer leaves if any. Then dry with a clean towel you can throw away.
9. Food safety tip #4 You should not consume uncooked (raw) meat, poultry, eggs. Separate your raw meats from those that are ready to eat foods. Never wash or rinse raw meat for it may cause cross contamination.
