The document discusses models of game used at different levels of soccer. At the professional level, the model of game is team-centered and aims to win games. At the youth level, the model should be player-centered and used as a tool to develop players' potential, not just win games. The training model should integrate tactical, technical, and physical periodization to optimize player development.

This document provides guidance on pressing as a team in a 4-2-3-1 formation. It outlines that when the ball is lost, the nearest player should try to slow down the opposition and buy time for teammates to drop into their defensive shape. The team should stay compact and keep the ball in front of them. They should look for the "trigger", which is the first pass where pressure can be applied, to press as a unit and try to regain possession. It also cautions about potential problems if the press is not coordinated and provides key points on defensive positioning and shape depending on game state and characteristics.

Great list Vitaliy!
I haven't been following your blog before, but I stumbled in here when I
looked after wonderkids on FM09. And then I saw with very, very happy
eyes that you had my favorite team Hull as your team. But now I saw
that you didn't finish 1st in your last season and that was a pity because
Hull deserves to be 1st ;) I recently managed to become Premier League
and Champions League champions year 2018 as Hull with Sergio Agüero
to thank that for.
Keep up the good work and you will be successful with Leeds :)!

as i am now on football manager ill tell you two guys i got for free who
are kinda good
Lars Stubhaug (GK): 19 year old, from norway, used to play for everton,
seem sto have good potential
according to one of my coaches (which has 16 for judge ability and 13 for
judge potental) he is 2.5 stars for ability and 4.5 stars for
potental...strengths are shot stopping, weakness is positioning
the other good one for me is a striker i found
Ibrahima Thiam: 28 years old, from sengal, used to play for some irish
team and surprisingly does not know a word of english...4 star ability
with same coach, seems to have good heading stats (heading: 16,
Strength: 16, Jumping: 17)
unfortuantly im only accrington so these two players probably would only
help people in league 2 :)
Anonymous Says: 8 November 2009 03:28
Take a look at CRISTIAN MORA (GK) he is 30 and he is fantastic, and he
is free too... and take a look at IVAN KAVIEDES (striker), he is 31, and he
is fantastic, but he is fairly slow...
stefyweffy Says: 8 November 2009 07:29
david beckham is free transferred by half a season! :)) funny how much
he's regressing, but still a decent catch for the lower league teams! very
high passing and crossing, but very low speed. :(

then 'editor' and then double-click on the football icon that is

Great blog, been following for a while now.
I am also managing leeds and had no problems in my first season with a
few free transfers.
Got Camara on a free who played upfront with Harewood. 62 goals
between them. With Christian Vieri piching in a few!
also got Namouchi on a free, who I highly recommend.
Now in Jan of second season and top of championship. Carlton Cole for
725K and Nicky Shorey for 1.5M my two top signings this season as well
as Louis Saha on a free!
Good luck with Leeds

Working on pre-season having got QPR promoted to the Premier
League, and for just saying you will try to avoid relegation you are given
a budget of £20M to spend.
If I can't avoid relegation with that, I'll be very disappointed. Soon starts
to vanish though as the back line needs some serious shoring up.

Oliver Says: 13 November 2009 09:55
Hi all,
I noticed the comment about not being able to find the players. I had the
same issue and then realised I was running the game on a small
database. So, I had to re start with Leeds even after promotion id the
first season, dodgy relegation battle that I managed to win in the
second and now was flying high in the Championship. It is fair to say (as
a Leeds fan) that the Leeds squad is good enough for League 1 with
some additons but no where near good enough for the Championship.
Anonymous Says: 13 November 2009 13:02
Thanks for your post.
I read all the comments and noticed that nobody has a word concerning
gionatha spinosi An italian striker, 31 years old and former catania player.
With my Nîmes Olympique in french ligue 2 he has scored 10 times in 9
games, has an average of 7.47 and worth 1.200.000€ for a wage of
8.500€ by week only. I think he should be ok to come in english league
one or championship. He seems to be a fantastic investment... :D.

walker really a superb goalie, completing half the season by 15 clean
sheets. Anyone who prefer high tempo game might avoid vieri n zuma,
13. so far their stat in my game is so so. Instead, main fire power is from
beckford. I'm replacing santos n camara for a pacey attacking in jan
intake. Fonseca hv high attribute, nearly bought him in. Skela is quite ok,
albeit not consistent, but still gv a few promising game.

They were relegated without the points deduction being made to them

TheZiggy Says: 15 November 2009 17:10
It's awful for any club and their fans if they go into administration. Even
as much as I dislike Leeds, I felt sorry for their fans when they suffered a
few seasons back. As such I didn't feel sorry for the idiots in charge who
overspent in such a bad way when they were in the Premiership.
Hopefully some of the current clubs that struggling financially will find
some new backing without having to go into administration. The ruling is
harsh, but I do understand why they are in place.
Southampton are one of several clubs who have suffered this fate after
being relegated from the Premiership. QPR and Leeds are two other
teams I can think of right now that have gone through that pain, and all
dropped to League One during this process.

Best player by far was Ze Maria and Kabous. Kabous is Algerian MC, hes
a tough tackler, and complements playmakers really well, and hes free!
Average 7.21 after 35 games for leeds, and hes Championship quality.
Low passing attribute (10) but put him in MC on defensive mode and
watch him go! Oh and Ze Maria is the playermaker I am talking about,
put him in MC, he got 21 assists and 10 goals in 31 games for leeds!
Both for free, the best two signings ever! Although Ze Maria was spent
after one season, so get him on a one year contract or sell him
quicksharp at the end of first season, cos towards may (when I started
to bench him) he can barely run!
Seriously Vitally, check out Kabous! Algerian! Quality!

Melbourne Victory haha
Anthony Says: 18 January 2010 16:46
The list looks impressive but I severely doubt I could get that much, if
not any of them as I chose to start off life in the BSS.
Anyone with good knowledge of life in the lower leagues mind putting up
a list for the less fortunate managers.
Can be contacted at anthony_jnr_108@hotmail.com

20. If you need players for lower leagues(was Oxford City) Jordy Brouwer
accepted a loan to me then I signed him after the season end. In Coca
Cola Championship and he's 27 and churning out goals(3 star "good"
Coca Cola Championship player) and cheap also.

Nice blog Vitaly, another great player is Thomas Frendo , and Patrick
Viera has become very cheap and Inter want him to leave 1.6 million
pounds is the price tag

County, 17 Finishing, 18 Penalty taking, 17 Composure, good pace and
accelleration - he is a goal machine, scores 1-4 per game for me.

Mourad Hdiouad - Moroccan central midfielder, think you may have to
load up all players from France... good for Championship teams

Hello, I am currently playing as burton albian, it would be nice if some
one gave me a list of free players that would come to my club and do a
good job!? Thanks
Maaxwell Says: 31 March 2010 13:14
william key: the availability of many of these players depends on which
countries you include in your database at the start of the game - i
usually go with major European countries and Brazil/Argentina/USA.
GK
Bertrand Bossu - French
David Grof - Hungarian
DF
Jason Beardsley - English
Ferdinand Coly - Senegalese
Florian Boucansaud - French
Maxime Chanot - French
Andrej Rastovac - Slovakian
Cristian Diaz - Argentinian
Luis Rubiales - Spanish
MF
Romain Cheurlin - French/American
Gary Roberts - English
China - Sao Tome and Prinipe
Ibrahima Thiam - Senegalese
Dionisio - Guinea-Bissau
Luka Senicanin - Serbian
Fabien Labarbe - French
Hope this helps!

k.parsons1 Says: 14 April 2010 20:20
The best free player to buy at the start of the game is 16 year old sergi.
Amazing.
P Says: 26 April 2010 19:57
I cant believe you mentioned teams that have had points taken off them,
and barely mentioned my beloved Luton Town, who got literally damn
near raped by the FA's vindictive idiots in power. We have a simple song
round here though....'30 points, who gives a ****, we're Luton Town,
going straight back up!'
william- key Says: 15 May 2010 03:16

love, peace.

22. Alvin Says: 29 May 2010 07:05
I didnt read any comments so i dont know if david beckham was
mentioned.. he is available for a free transfer at the start of the season..
still a great playmaker & probably still has about 3 full seasons left in
him.. if your playing on high graphics u can see his magic.. he crosses like
he does in reality.. gives me goosebumps !
Maaxwell Says: 29 June 2010 02:48
For clubs in Blue Square North/South, I have found several useful FREE
players (again using a starting database that includes major European
countries and USA/Brazil/Argentina):
Goal: Benjamin Levacher
Defence: Ryan Casey, Laurence Gaughan, Alan McDermott, Andrew
Hageman, Edu Castigo, Andrew Cook
Midfield: Philip Spiegelberg, Cristian Ceballos and Luis Gustavo (both
released by Barcelona early on), Amadou Kouman, Tonny Boateng, Chris
Gallacher, Colin Fortune, Jonathan Chiefare
Attack: George Junior Weah (incredible in this league for me), Pavol
Suhaj, Patrick Deane, Branimir Kostadinov, Fabien Labarbe
Again, hope this helps :)
