Time Management for Project Managers - Lessons from BillFrancis Wade
This presentation was given to the Project Management Institute's Dr. Bird Chapter in Kingston Jamaica. It describes the journey undertaken by the protagonist in the book "Bill's Im-Perfect Time Management Adventure." In the third part of the book he must find a way to improve the skills of his team-members so that they can fulfill their mandate, and also avoid being laid off due to low productivity. He's forced to take some risks to realize this goal that brings him into direct confrontation with company policies and an employee who wants to see him fail. http://perfect.mytimedesign.com
Update: Several months after this speech was delivered, I gave a speech at the PMISCC conference in Trinidad. The link to the contents (audio, slides and paper) are available here - http://perfect.mytimedesign.com/calling-all-project-managers/
In 1997 Driessen and Suarez edited a book (Springer) on: Mathematical Undecidability, Quentum Nonlocality and the Proof of the Existence of God. Contributors were among others John S. Bell and Paul Davies. This document presents the comments of the editors (introduction, preface and final remarks).
This is a series of photos, mostly taken in our garden and around London, recording the floral changes as the year progress. It shows the varieties of flowers that people grow in their garden London. As properties are becoming expensive, more high rises are being built and population is becoming more work orientated, the number of urban gardens in London is also disappearing. A recent study on aerial photos of London between 1998-99 and 2006-08, Analysis of the dat showed London’s green land dropped by 12% over the period. It also shows the about a quarter of Greater London land is used for gardening.
London has always a world city with a large proportion of its population originates from other parts of the world. Likewise as London also experiences the effect of a more connected world, in our gardens. It is common to see exotic flowers from many parts of the world. Cultivars and hybrids of naturally flowering species are being developed and marketed for the English gardens, like the Calla Lily from South Africa and Passion flowers from South American and Asia.

Summer has come and gone. It is the beginning of Autumn. You can feel the chill in the morning and at night. So it is time for my Summer edition of the Floral Dairy, which is a document of our garden’s journey through the year. It also reflects the hard work of my wife. It includes flowers in our neighbourhood as well as our home city, London.
But I strongly suggest that you watch the download version and watch it on a PC at home, as the Powerpoint contains some of the more exotic animations with can only be viewed on the PC with the latest Powerpoint Viewers.
Seeing these flowers make life a little more acceptable. It reminds us how much human has changed the world by introducing new species to new places. It is also a story how of human has changed evolution, introducing new varieties and species of plants. It is an evidence that globalisation does not confine to commerce and industry alone. Ecology is going global.
