Flag Day is celebrated on June 14th to honor the American flag which is over 225 years old. The flag is also known as the Stars and Stripes, Old Glory, and the Star-Spangled Banner. It features 13 stripes representing the original 13 colonies and 50 stars, with one star added for each new state.
