- Provide you with a quality paper to sell
- Furnish you with 15 free copies of the current issue of The Firebrand upon completing sales orientation.
Vendors will buy all papers for $0.75 after their first 15 free copies.
- Render a unique badge number, which can be used by customers to tip vendors online
- Provide a temporary Firebrand badge upon completing sales orientation. After 30 days, vendors in good
standing will be issued a permanent badge. Replacement badges cost $2
- Assist in techniques to sell more papers
- Provide pick-up locations to purchase additional copies of The Firebrand @ $0.75 per copy
- Coach you in the next steps of your career
Vendor will...
- Only sell The Firebrand for the cover price of $2
- Clearly display valid Firebrand badge at all times when selling. A Firebrand badge is the property of The
Firebrand organization. Upon demand, a Vendor will surrender their Firebrand badge.
- Only sell the paper on public property. Vendors may sell on private property with a written and signed
letter of permission from the property owner and submitted to Firebrand staff.
- Vendors must be 15 feet from any ATM machine, business entrance or exit while selling
- Always supply customers with the correct change and hand over the paper
- Only sell papers to genuine customers – not other vendors/ de-badged vendors
- Use real selling techniques – not those associated with begging/ busking
- Sell independently on sidewalk – not with friends/ looking after children
- Ensure that you don’t appear under the influence of substances when selling or buying The Firebrand
- Move to a new location if “yours” is taken. Sales turf is regulated on a first come, first serve basis.
- Always strive to represent yourself and The Firebrand as positively as possible, you will not behave in any
way that may harm your reputation or that of The Firebrand
You Understand That: By breaking any of the rules, The Firebrand will be entitled to stop
providing you with copies of the paper on either a temporary or permanent basis.
As a Firebrand vendor, you are not an employee of The Firebrand and you should not hold yourself out as being
an employee of the Firebrand. Your relationship with The Firebrand is that of a wholesaler/ retailer. If contacted,
The Firebrand is required by law to pass on any relevant information it may hold about you to certain agencies.
If you are in receipt of benefits, you may have a responsibility to notify the local social security office of your
income from selling the magazine and failure to do so may be a criminal offense.
The Firebrand Group will keep the personal information provided in connection with your induction. This
information will be accessible by Firebrand front line staff and management. You will consent for The
Firebrand Group to share the data with The Firebrand Foundation and other 3rd party agencies in order to
assess your support needs, which may change over time, and to arrange for you to be provided with support.
