1. The document discusses how powered by fitness could be a future trend where movement generates electricity that is stored on a card, motivating people to exercise.
2. It explores how taste buds could be connected to the mind through microchips, allowing people to taste what they desire nutritionally rather than what they crave. This could improve health and motivation.
3. New technologies may advance lifestyle by allowing desires and nutrition to be fulfilled simultaneously through altered tastes controlled by the mind. Microchips could connect taste buds to brain and change what the tongue tastes.

Going to the Edge to Build a Culture of HealthLori Melichar
What if we could use virtual reality technologies to teach empathy? Or use real-time electricity patterns to check on someone’s well-being and relieve caregiver stress? Lori Melichar, a director at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, highlights the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's efforts to seek ideas from unlikely sources and the cool collisions that result. Lori presented this talk at the Innovation Learning Network meeting in October 2015.
Wellness, in today’s context, is much more than diagnosing and curing poor health or diseases. It is a multidimensional and holistic state of being that is conscious, self-directed, and constantly evolving. Trying to make sense of wellness in a world of rising healthcare costs, shortage of wellness professionals, and technological advances in everything from computing to genetics, gives rise to several pertinent questions.
-- Will there still be any universally recognized concept of wellness? Or will it be hyper personalized to each individual's environments, genetics, and experiences?
-- What will wellness look and feel like in the future? What will be the new indicators of wellness?
-- As people experience enhanced wellness, will they become more self-aware and adopt additional experiences that will promote wellness?
-- Will we be more in control of our well-being? Or will we stop caring in a world where every aspect of our person is closely and constantly monitored and serviced?
-- As roles in the wellness ecosystem shift, what are the new well-being authorities and environments that will emerge?
-- Will big data around wellness help create better early warning systems about potential pandemics? Or will there be a drive to protect and hide our personal wellness and risk profiles online?
-- Will we ever be 'unwell', given all the new technologies to enhance (as well as prevent) wellness that will be in place?
-- Will we prefer being looked after and treated by robotic care givers/surgeons?
We attempt to answer these questions through 10 current trends we have identified, which will impact the course of wellness in the future.

1.) Considering the social determinants of heath, commercial free initiatives may have an impact on marketing building in schools because removing advertisements by fast food chains, children will not be influenced to consume their products. In the TEDx talk, “Marking food to children,” by Lappe, she discusses how major brands use sponsored academic activities to advertise their business. As a result, children are seeing brands support their academic performance and achievements which create a desire for their products to be consumed. While considering social determinants of health, banning or limited commercials will have a positive impact on children and teens because they will not be exposed to adverts. In contrast, while commercial free initiatives in an academic environment is positive, children and teens are at risk of being exposed to advertisements through other means outside of school.

2.) Hunger and food insecurity should be addressed in the public and civic sector because food insecurity is influenced by the economy. Food insecurity is influenced by numerous factors such as income, employment, race, disability, and geographical location. Low-income households and disabled individuals experience food insecurity because job opportunities are limited and the cost of food exceeds their income. Additionally, individuals or families that live in rural areas my not physically have access to food or full-service supermarkets. Convenience stores are more common in these areas and may lack the nutritious food that people need. If food security was addressed as a public / civic responsibility people would be more educated and driven to bring awareness and aid to people in need.

3.) As a society, we can ensure the elderly stay safe by encouraging our older family members to maintain an active lifestyle, have a nutrient balance diet, take supplements when needed, and take preventative measure when necessary. As people age, health concern arise and dietary changes need to be made. Having a well-balanced nutritious diet is essential and imperative for elderly individuals with underlying health conditions or concerns. If an individual is on a medication course of therapy for health conditions, being aware of the drug interactions and side effects is beneficial to maintain their health.

Ageless: Embracing the 21st Century to Mitigate AgingthomasAtta1
Welcome to a journey that explores the realm of agelessness in the 21st century, where the boundaries of what it means to grow older are shifting and expanding. This book delves into the fascinating world of aging, presenting cutting-edge research, revolutionary technologies, and transformative lifestyle practices that offer the promise of mitigating the aging process.
As the 21st century unfolds, humanity finds itself on the precipice of a profound transformation – one that challenges conventional notions of aging and embraces the potential for extended vitality, improved well-being, and enhanced quality of life. While we cannot halt the passage of time, we now possess unprecedented knowledge and resources that can empower us to age gracefully and gracefully age.
2. Motivation is key when it comes to fitness, wanting
to reach your goal is sometimes not enough. This is
leading to the current society looking for a reason
to be motivated. What is more motivational than
saving money?
The economy in the 21st century is now connected
more than ever to electricity, seeking power.
Light to seek our way, heat to enforce our eating,
power to ensure we are linked and cables to link us to
charge. Everything that is used daily is connected in
some way or form to the spark known as electricity.
Spinning individual’s life’s in the right direction.
Active trend seekers are now realising their true
connection to the world.
If we were our own generator and conducted
electricity would this create a sense of empowerment
and sensor the brain to want to be active? Powered
by Fitness is a future trend which conducts power by
any source of movement, through fitness equipment
or even clothing products such as trainers. If all
movement generated electricity and was to be stored
on a card, would you get up and go.

how we can only benefit from ourselves.

Motivation is only the start; following on from this individuals seek a
way to keep going. What is more impacting than working for a better
future.

Individuals crave a connection to others throughout life, electricity

6. ABOVE:
Using colour illumination to suggest movement, portraying different colours in certain
parts of the human body and visualising them like a heat detector.
Movement Of The Mind
Millennials are now brought up surrounded by
energy as well as movement; only leading to their
minds craving more physicality, in a way with is fun
and impacting.

8. Power is not only an important factor of the mind
but it is the success and connection to a constantly
switched on world. Simultaneously coherent to food
being used in a human’s body, working as a generator
creating energy. Without fuel movement will come
to a halt and this 21st lifestyle will crash.
Every mind has a different mind-set when thinking
about money, many say it doesn’t buy you happiness

make money but it is a life style change to save money
in society. Using the sensory of movement combined
with the advanced connection to technology a new
dimension of positive thought can be created.

Introducing a humans athletic build as a battery; reflecting how
speed portrays a sense of moving forward in society. To not use
our own body as the storage, but to link it to a personal nano card
which can be used in convention with everyday electricity usage.

Creating an idea in the mind ,that a functional body is the way
to a creative and well achieved life. Following the symbolic
representation of blue and how it connects to humans through
tranquility.
Opposite:
As society is becoming aware of what goes into certain products, it
is easily accessible to know what foods are a good source of energy.
Looking further into the 21st century and how humans are largely
focused around achieving a certain build; not only is it important
that energy food sources are consumed but also foods with a balanced
amount of protein and fat.

11. Opposite:
Imagine that the 3 ‘E’s can all be achieved and effected at once.
Economy, Environment and Energy. These 3 platforms have a
strong impact into the lives of people today. With green house
gases increasing and people not having enough time to look
after themselves, putting in order the most important factor
is difficult. Powered By Fitness gives the opportunity to work
out and not waist time as individuals make money, get fit and
impact the environment.

healthy and sustainable lifestyle. If you were able to run for money and
reach it by the end, would you?
24 25
14. Opposite:
With society being constantly engaged and connected
with social media, what will happen if it was suddenly not
accessible. The idea of empowerment over electricity is
thrilling, driving consumers of this modern day to have an
impact and ensure it is sustainable.

18. Welcoming ‘Food Of Thought’, a new trend which
is increasing and making consumers become more
aware of what is going into their body and how
it effects their life. Food and health awareness is
becoming globalised, therefore people are keeping
updated with the latest food fixes and what is good
for you.
Not only is it creating a concern of how too much
of certain foods are destroying consumers, but the
factor which is coherent to the subject, being peoples
care towards their appearance is increasing. This
develops to controlling their mental state making
them want to lose weight or eat the right food to
create their idealistic body.
Trends are reflecting that for the upcoming future,
science and technology is going to be part of the
human body; Triggering a new way of taste.
Food for Thought
Above:
The futuristic implantation of a micro chip is only the
start to being able to manipulate your senses. Would you be
microchipped? Food by thought will transform a lifestyle,
linking tastebuds and directly informing them to create a taste
which is desired by an individuals brain.
34 35
20. PREVIOUSly:
Food For Thought will change the way in which the food
culture currently stands. The perception of a food which may
have once had negative implementation will no longer exist,
due to consumers being able to link their individual preferred
taste to a any visual food category.
Not only may this be the solution to a healthy heart but also a
happy mind.
Opposite:
A change in taste will also improve societies mentality. UCLA
research has previously reflected that high fat foods decrease
performance and lowers motivation, this is due to nutritional
values. So what if the correct nutrition gained access to your
body without having to force it?
38 39
22. Opposite:
Altering our taste to the point it becomes tasteless to the
tounge but an idea of the mind; conrolled by micro technology.
PREVIOUSly:
The way the mind works is a crazy thought process; the more
open to creativity and the environment it is is, the more it will
get out of the experience.

.
Changing the sensory of tongues leads to an entire
different way of thought. Microchips will be able
to control tastes buds; connecting them with the
human mind. Changing what the mind is craving
to in fact what the tongue tastes. An avocado could
idealistically taste like Nutella, therefore fruit and
vegetables could be eaten constantly but the brain is
telling consumers they are eating something entirely
different and mouth-watering.
A fusion of micro technology; Imagine a world where
technology can not only advance your life style but
advance you internally; allowing your desires to be
good for you. Your mind gets what it wants and your
internal body receives what it needs. Nutrients and
cravings made into one.

Consumers are seeking for something to frill them in life,
society revolves around communication and socialising; one
main key interest creating a connecting being food.
