This project studied a mixed ethnicity household where the father was from Bangladesh and the mother was Mexican. The author conducted a cultural inventory by photographing household objects. The observations showed the father's Bangladeshi culture was more prominent in the home, as evidenced by Bangladeshi decorations throughout the living room and guest room. While the mother's Mexican culture was present through religious items and some food, the father's culture dominated the shared public spaces of the home. The project concluded the Bangladeshi traditions reflected the culture of the head of the household.
