Job Fair Focuses on AT&T’s U-verse
CLEVELAND(July 17, 2013)—AT&T* announced it will host a job fair in Clevelandto help fill open
positions throughout the greater Cleveland area.
Candidates interested in a career with AT&T are invited to attend a hiring event in Cleveland on
July 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the AT&T Staffing Office at 45 Erieview Plaza, first floor, Cleveland,
Ohio 44114.
No appointment is necessary, but candidates who want to get a head start may apply at

The new positions are a direct result of the continued expansion of AT&T’s U-verse in Ohio. AT&T
invested more than $1.5 billion in its Ohio wireless and wireline networks from 2010 through 2012,
with a focus on improving the company’s mobile broadband coverage and overall performance of
its networks.

In April, AT&T announced it is stepping up its veteran recruiting efforts with the goal of hiring 5,000
veterans and family membersof veterans into career opportunities over the next five years across
the United States. Ohio-based veterans are encouraged to visit AT&T’s onlineveteran career site,
which includes tools for veterans to match their military skills with AT&T jobs. AT&T has a military
talent attraction manager who focuses on military recruitment. And the company’s Careers for
Veterans program allows veterans who are AT&T employees to provide job search advice, helping
thousands of newly-transitioning veterans optimize their career searches.
AT&T recently launched Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan to expand and
enhance its wireless and wireline IP broadband networks. As part of Project VIP, AT&T plans to
increase the density of its wireless network by deploying more than 10,000 macro sites, more than
1,000 distributed antenna systems, and more than 40,000 small cells. Through this initiative, AT&T
also plans to:
Expand 4G LTE to cover more than 300 million people by year-end 2014
Expand the AT&T wired IP network to approximately 57 million customer locations,
covering about 75 percent of customer locations in its wired service area by year-end 2015
Expand the AT&T fiber network to reach 1 million additional business locations by year-end
2015
Over the past five years, AT&T invested nearly $98 billion into operations. Since 2008, AT&T has
invested more capital into the U.S. economy than any other public company. In a July 2012 report,
