Welcome to London
London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom, located in southeast England. It was founded by the Romans in 40 AD and has a population of over 14 million people. London has many famous landmarks, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and Tower Bridge. The city is well known for its history, culture, and monarchy.

One of the most recognisable structures in the world and a symbol of London is the Tower Bridge. It is a suspension bridge that spans the River Thames to link the north and south of London. The bridge’s primary purpose was to provide a brand-new crossing point for heavy traffic. It was built between 1886 and 1894. Additionally, it allowed tall ships to pass across the river unimpeded.
A trip to London
Laia and Cris took a trip to London to celebrate Cris's birthday. They flew from Barcelona to London on June 18th and spent three nights at the County Hall Hotel near the center of London. During their trip they visited several famous London landmarks like Big Ben, the London Eye, Saint James Park, and Madam Tussauds wax museum. They enjoyed exploring the city and taking in the sights before flying back to Barcelona after having an unforgettable trip.

Filming in london
- 1. FILMING IN LONDON David 8030
- 2. LANDMARKS London is one of the most recognisable locations in the world. There are various aspects of London that make it so iconic. For example, Big Ben, The London Eye and the traditional red busses. London is famous for its financial opportunitys so people dressed in suits in highly common. This will link in with our costume for our opening sequence as Nebin and I will both be wearing suits. We are also filming some of our footage on the Tube. The Tube is a Transport For London network that transports people by underground trains. These trains and their stations are very symbolic and extremely recognisable.
- 3. TIME LAPSE Due to London being one of the bussiest cities in the world, our time lapse would look tremendous here. The idea for our time lapse is to have me as the protagonist walk into a iconic red telephone box and wait there for 20- 30 mins. During this time, the camera will still be filming as everyone walks around the telephone box continuing with their normal day to day routine. The more people walking the more effective our time lapse will look as it seems as it has passed a more substantial amount of time. I will then exit the telephone box and look at my symbolic watch to see that it has only passed 30 seconds rather than 30 minutes, hence the time has travelled.
- 4. LOCATIONS IN LONDON We will be travelling to London by tube and the busiest station to the main iconic symbols in London is Bank. To travel to Bank we will need to meet at school and collect all equipment needed for filming. Then, we will take Metropolitan Line from Rickmansworth Station to Kings Cross St Pancras, then we will change and get the Northern Line to Bank. The station Bank is in the centre of London and is a walk away from all the iconic tourist attractions that will make our film more memorable.
