3. THE ACTION CONTINUES FROM [REC], WITH THE MEDICAL OFFICER AND A SWAT TEAM, OUTFITTED WITH VIDEO CAMERAS, ARE SENT INTO THE SEALED OFF APARTMENT TO CONTROL THE SITUATION.

4. This is the beginning of the Trailer. It starts with a low angle shot of the ‘swat’ team as they are approaching the sealed off house. The shot is low key which emphasises the situation.

5. These screens are shown between the shots of the team. Each screen lasts for a few seconds and allows the viewer to gain more information about the story line. The ‘weapons/ equipment’ shot symbolises that there will be violence.

6. There are a series of 5 cuts, each frame lasting no longer than 1.5 seconds. There is a fade to black transition between each shot. The frames get shorter and the transitions become faster which adds to the drama and effect.

11. This trailer makes the viewer want to see the film, because there are many jump cuts, rapid transitions. There are many jumpy scenes with lots of blood and gore. However.. It lacks the surprising jolt of the first film, but [REC] 2 almost maintains the original's chilling momentum -- and proves not all horror sequels were made equal.
