Volvo service technicians and key components are replaced with
genuine Volvo parts where necessary. Volvo Road Machinery is
also part of the Volvo used equipment offering and all machines
go through rigorous factory testing. Machines in this category
are mostly pavers, although compaction equipment is becoming
increasingly popular. Customers have been delighted with

construction projects in the oil and gas industry as well
as other sectors including civil, mechanical, electrical
and instrumentation work, Galfar Engineering &
Contracting is a multi-disciplinary engineering and
construction company. Since 1994 the company has
been expanding its operations in the UAE and has
successfully completed several major oil and gas
projects in Abu Dhabi.
FAMCO’s relationship with Galfar Engineering has
involved the rental of equipment for the company’s
various oilfield projects in Habshan, Bu Hasa and
ASAB, providing all the required Volvo construction
equipment and power industrial machinery such as
excavators, wheel loaders, articulated dumpers and
backhoe loaders to name only some.

Long-standing FAMCO customer GS Engineering &
Construction Corporation is reaping the benefits of the
Rental & Leasing division’s industrial power solutions for
its Takreer Project (IRP-2) to cater to the future demands
of refined petroleum products in Abu Dhabi. With a
total length of 955 km, the planned pipeline network
will connect the refineries with various terminals in the
capital. GS Engineering & Construction Corporation will
carry out the engineering, procurement, construction
and commissioning requirements for the project.

Opting for FAMCO because of unmatched machine
availability and complete flexibility in terms of
supply and service, GS Engineering & Construction
Corporation has been leasing Himoinsa generators
plus accessories as well as a portable Doosan oil free air
compressor from FAMCO since 2011. As testimony to
the company’s satisfaction, more units are expected to
meet demand.
In September 2012, FAMCO provided a single Doosan
air compressor to Dodsal Engineering & Construction.
Today, thanks to the efficiency of the brand, some eight
units are now working at the company’s sites.
Dodsal is currently building sulphur granulation
facilities for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)
as part of its Shah sour gas field development. With
backup support from FAMCO’s Rental & Leasing
division, the air compressors have more than proved
themselves for performance and reliability in extremely
difficult site conditions and excessively hot UAE
summer temperatures.

Fala Road Contracting replaces
existing fleet with Volvo
The UAE based company Fala Road Contracting LLC
has grown rapidly in the Middle East undertaking major
projects in Dubai and the Northern Emirates including
road and infrastructure work. Equipped with a huge fleet
of construction equipment varying from excavators,
bulldozers, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, trailers,
trucks and much more, the company is well-known in
the construction industry.
With an initial rental of two Volvo excavators from
FAMCO in 2010 for the Massafi-Dibba road expansion
project, the company took the decision the following
year to replace its entire fleet with Volvo construction
equipment and Volvo trucks. The decision was an
important one for Fala Road Contracting because they
had undertaken two other extremely arduous projects
