NAGESH BATTULA, Managing Director
Nagesh started Fountainhead Design 20 years ago, and has since then transformed it into one of the top 10 leading design consultancy
firms in India. He has a varied set of expertise in Design, is a natural learner and a self-taught leader who has spear headed the
company since inception. With over 20 years of extensive experience after his Diploma in Architecture, he has done projects ranging
from Residential Developments, Mixed-use Developments, Commercial Complexes, Hospitality, Retail, Interiors etc.
He attributes all his learning during his career span to his association with Field Workers, Engineers, Co-consultants, International

Having done his architecture from the School of architecture and planning in Chennai, Dhamu has over 11 years of experience in the
field of architecture with several master planning and large-scale architecture projects to his credit. His professional skill set includes
Master planning, Residential townships, Condominium designs, Hi End Villas, Commercial towers and affordable housing.
Being the Director of Operations and the head of the Architectural division he is fully in tune with the client's ambitions and is best in
converting them into reality without losing sight on critical and creative design solutions.
MATHAN RAMAIAH, Director – Design
Mathan graduated from the prestigious Columbia University in the city of New York and has over 12 years of experience working in
Indian and International firms. Prior to joining FHD group, he has been the design architect at NORR group consultants Dubai, for
several Mixed-Use, Residential towers and Hotel towers in the Dubai Marina. He was also the project director of several award
winning Master plans with special emphasis on passive and active sustainable strategies at X-Architects, a Dubai based boutique
design firm. He has been an active as a speaker in universities and forums like cityscape to present on sustainable design strategies in
the Middle east.

Gachibowli falling in Raidurg Mandal of Hyderabad.
It is a gated community project proposed with 64
Villas on a hill top having an advantage of great
panoramic view and neighbouring Lake Front
Municipal Park with access from the community.
The architecture has drawn inspiration from a
Mediterranean theme, with varying elevations for
alternate houses. This has resulted in very
interesting streetscapes.

architecture, Structural and MEP Design for a built up area of
3.11 Lakh Sq ft. with approx. 56 Villas with unit area ranging
from 5,527 to 9286 Sq ft.
One of the USPs of the project was the parking spaces in the
basement, Each dweller is provided with the luxury of 4 car
parks while creating segregation of two spaces with large
landscape elements.
In order to retain the feel of independent villas we intended to
remove the sense of entry from basement. This was perfectly
addressed by creating light wells as strategic locations at every
villa giving a feel of entry from ground level and not from the
basement.

The final master plan is a derivative of multiple
options with all villa designed within the principles
of Vaastu, in contemporary Balinese style.
Multiple façade options were proposed with
variations in the elevations while keeping the plan
intact. Finishes used are sandstone, wood and
simple sloped roof in sea green tiles add variety and
break the monotony of the street scape.

The building design character use a simple language
derivative of Asian Design motifs, with extensive use
of recycled wooden louvers that can revolve to create
varying degrees of shading. The large outdoor
terraces resulting from the stepped massing of the
guest rooms have cantilevered roofs that stretch and
extend the form to create a sense of visual
movement towards the natural vegetation.
