This document provides feng shui guidelines for arranging bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. For bedrooms, the best position for the bed is diagonally across from the door. For living rooms, guests should sit catercorner to the door while hosts sit to the side. Dining tables should not be too close to the entrance and honored guests should face the door. Bathroom toilets should be hidden from view of the entrance. In kitchens, stoves should allow the chef to see who enters and island stoves provide the best arrangement.

 In general, both the hosts and guests should face the door –but not in
direct line with it.
 The guests should sit in the “commanding “
position , catercorner to the door ,and the
 host to the side ,in a “safe” position for a
wide view of room and door

9. Dining room
 It should not be too close to entrance ,if this is the case screen it from initial
view of those entering with doors or bead curtains;
 Even a crystal ball serves as a symbolic screen
 An honored guest should sit facing the door

1 – 3 .Good shapes.
4 .A rectangle is good if it is not too long.
5 – 6 a dining table that is missing corners is
unlucky.
7.One exception to the
“no –corners” rule is a true octagon table – a
very auspicious shape

11. Bathroom
 Avoid placing the toilet opposite the door so that you see it when you
enter
 A hidden toilet is best
 Either place the toilet at the farthest point from the door ,or construct a
cubicle or curtain that shields the toilet from anyone entering
 Other remedies are to hang a wind chime between the door and toilet or
to install a mirror on the outside of room

13. kitchen
 In kitchen they pay more attention to location of stove and rice cooker .
In feng shui kitchen represents wealth :the better the food ,more capable
the person and larger the potential income.
1, The stove position is very good . The chef can see
anyone entering.
2,An island stove is best ,providing a less cramped
arrangement

14. 3,The stove position is bad for family stability and
finances.
CURE : hang a wind chime or crystal ball between
the stove and the door.
4,This stove position is unlucky

15. 5,The stove is both poorly placed and cramped ,
which can hurt occupant’s careers
6,This arrangements is bad
CURE: Place a mirror on the side wall .The mirror also
symbolically increases the number of burners.
