LBFG was retained by various law firms in Louisiana to determine the cause of alleged formaldehyde and moisture problems in FEMA trailers provided after Hurricane Katrina. LBFG conducted air infiltration testing on typical FEMA trailers and used the findings in defense opinions for three trailer manufacturers. Through animation-based evidence, LBFG proved to juries that the trailers had sufficient ventilation to offset any formaldehyde off-gassing and were free of moisture defects.
