        • From 1/9 – 1/15 nearly 99% of the
          voters were in favor of the
          referendum!
        • Vote was peaceful, but tension is
          high on the oil-rich border region.
        • “Now I am a first class citizen in my
          own country," housewife Abiong
          Nyok told the BBC.
        • Presdident Omar al-Bashir says he
          accepts the outcome of the vote
           – Committed to good relations
        • South Sudan’s leader Salva Kiir
           – Co-operation with Khartoum
