This document summarizes the results of finite element analysis (FEA) on two different chassis designs from 2014 and 2015. The analysis made assumptions about the chassis geometry and applied loads and boundary conditions. It was found that for both designs, the total deformation and maximum stresses were low, with safety factors above 2.5. The torsional stiffness was also calculated to be 1736 N-m/deg for the 2014 design and 1768 N-m/deg for the 2015 design.
