        PRESENTS
Fluffy, Fast & Furious French Toast
It's a breakfast classic!
The perfect use for that day old
    left-over baguette. (What else
are you going to use it for? -
    Well, making home made
    croutons, but that's another
    presentation :) )
Got eggs, milk, some French
bread, and a little butter or
cooking oil? You've got all you
    need for the perfect French
    toast! Add some vanilla and
    cinnamon (optional) like we did
    here and you're in heaven!

Start with some French bread,
and give it a good slice up.

We're not making omlettes, but
we still need to crack a few
eggs... three for this go round.

                                              Crack them right
                                              into a nice big
                                              mixing bowl - one
                                              big enough to
                                              accommodate the
                                              slices of French
                                              bread.

Next add the (optional) cinnamon
                                        - just enough to put a decent
                                        coating on the egg yolks.

Then add the (optional) vanilla -
about six drops on each egg
  yolk.

Give it all a good mix with a fork (or if you really want, you can
use a whisk) ... make sure your spices are blended in well.

Add the milk - about 1.5 cups (350 mL)

Give it another good mix until everything is well incorporated.

Prep your pan by putting it on a medium low heat to start warming.

Put your bread into the French toast batter.

While the bread is absorbing the batter,
melt some butter in your pan.

Once the butter is melted, add the ooey-gooey soaked
bread and listen to the sizzle!

Keep going until the pan is full! (Then take a moment to
wipe the drool off your lips... :) )

Flip the slices over...

Until they are all flipped... and give them another 2 - 3
   minutes to finish up.

Then serve them up and enjoy. I like to add maple
syrup... Note that these have a custardy texture
                                                          inside.
                                                          If you want
                                                          them to be
                                                          a bit more
                                                          cooked
                                                          inside,
                                                          keep them
                                                          in the pan a
                                                          bit longer...
