This document provides instructions for students to create an oral presentation and brochure summarizing the key issues presented in the book "Fast Food Nation" in the context of Puerto Rican eating habits. Students are asked to use at least three sources to inform their summary, including references to the book. They must discuss at least five key points about the author Eric Schlosser and his examination of the fast food industry in America. The presentation will be evaluated based on thoroughness of research, proper citation of sources, creative design, and depth of coverage of important topics from the book.

2. Introduction After reading the book Fast Food Nation, we learned certain interesting details about the way Americans eat and the effect it has had in their society. It is now time to look at our Puerto Rican eating habits and bring this message home.

3. The Task You shall become mini-Schlossers! Using the sites selected you will inform the rest of the Junior Class of the issues presented in Fast Food Nation in the Puerto Rican. context.

4. Instructions Visit the sites and locate information. Print information you will use. Create a list of references. Make a brochure with the most important aspects of the book keep in mind to include a Puerto Rican context in mind. Prepare an oral presentation to be given for your homeroom.

5. Instructions continued The oral presentation will be given as a team by all group members of the same homeroom. You MUST include visuals (PowerPoint, videos, interviews, etc). The objective is to make the Juniors aware of the issues presented in Fast Food Nation.
