The 1940s fashion was dominated by austerity and darker colors due to World War 2. Clothes had a more somber and conservative style, with long skirts covering the knees and accessories like scarves, turbans, and belts. In contrast, current fashion is more varied and provocative, with trends like zippered clothes and tight jeans. Tight tops and high heels are also popular now compared to the modest styles of the 1940s. While fashion was strictly controlled in the 1940s, today people have more freedom to dress as they choose.

2. The Second World War marked the form of dress.
The colors became darker and austerity became
the protagonist. The fashion of the 40s was
completely controlled by the government and
style patterns had very limited resources and
away from ostentation.
In these years everything went very
conservative, which led to more long skirts
covering knees giving a more somber aspect.
Lots of jewelry, scarves and turbans, pointy
shoes and wide belts were used.

3. If we have to talk about the current fashion it becomes a difficult
and complex task because there isn´t a definite style.
There are many styles; fashion is a cluster of modern, stylish,
renovated or tradition-based ideas.
Today fashion is more provocative.
There are new trends
as the "zipper"
fashion. In some
cases, a skirt, a shirt
or a dress with zipper
can be elegant and
sophisticated, but
tends more to the
provocation.

4. It takes rocker style. Within
this style include ripped
jeans, skinny jeans and tight
to the fullest.
Lush necklines, glossy prints
and high heels shoes are used.

5.  We notice that the time has changed, in the past
the women couldn't teach any attributes and
nowadays the trends are minimalists.
 Current clothing is more provocative than the
40s.
 The clothes of the 40s is the most conservative
of all.
 The skirts no longer cut at the knee, but they
become wide belts that cover the minimum.
 In the 40s wore pointy shoes and now, the shoes
are very coarse.
 The hairstyles are as extravagant as before.
 The clothes of the 40's was more sexy and now is
more vulgar.

6. Hi, in my opinion, the current
fashion is the best. I think a few
years ago people had to be very
careful because they might judged
as they wore the clothes even
some forms of dress were banned.
Today it is more free, the people
wear the clothes as want, bolder
or more demure.
I really love the current fashion,
the tight jeans, the wide t-shirts
and the heeled shoes.
