Fantastic Faculty of the Month ~ David Pettinari
June 2008
Each month the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences honor a faculty who has
done a fantastic job. This month we recognize David Pettinari.
David retired in January 2007 following 20 years of service with the Pueblo County
Sheriffs Office where he was the computer forensic examiner and Internet investigator.
He also retired after 21 years service with the United States Air Force where he was
activated for Desert Storm and spent a little time overseas in England, Turkey and
Saudi Arabia.
David is now running his own private computer forensics and cybercrime
investigations business out of his home in Colorado. He also operates a private
investigations company offering witness interviewing, skip tracing (locating debtors,
witnesses, missing persons), records searches, surveillance, criminal defense
investigations, and court/criminal history checks. Since starting as an online faculty
member in 2007, David has been able to share his knowledge and work experience in
our BS/OSM and MS/AJS programs. Below are examples of all the hard work and
effort David has committed to his classroom.
• This instructor was awesome! He provided an intense learning environment that
was appropriate, on target, and built value with the student. His comments were
focused and thoughtful regarding the student. The facilitation provided through
his feedback and postings were both needed and welcome. Great experience!
• This faculty member is superb at exposing new material to the class,
communicating with the students, fair grading with a full explanation of all
elements of the grade. I enjoyed learning with this faculty member a great deal.
Please join us in congratulating David as this month's recipient of the Fantastic Faculty
Award. We are very appreciative of the excellent work you do for our University of
Phoenix Online students!
Congratulations, David
