Hyperion Bank will host the premiere performance of Runaway Bunny on November 7, 2009 as part of their Family Theatre Series. This will be the third year the bank has hosted the children's event by B. Someday Productions. The interactive performance encourages children ages 2-7 to participate by acting out characters. Caregivers will receive materials to continue reading fun at home. Joe Matisoff noted the bank's support for educational programs in the community.

Hyperion Bank has partnered with the Norris Square Neighborhood Project (NSNP), a local non-profit focused on arts and gardening programs celebrating Latino culture. As part of its commitment to the North Philadelphia community, Hyperion Bank will sponsor NSNP in 2012 and offer financial literacy workshops for families and youth. Blood Drive Valentines Day 2011
Hyperion Bank will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive on February 14th from 9am to 3pm at their headquarters. The blood drive aims to help address the acute need for blood donations during the winter months. Hyperion Bank's CEO, Joe Matisoff, encourages employees, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Valentine's Day by giving the gift of life through blood donation. Somebody Productions’ new home is The Walking Fish Theatre, the performance/workshop space for the community of Fishtown/Kensington. The Family Theatre Series in an interactive, literature-based performance program for children (ages 2-7) and their caregivers that features professional actors bringing great children’s stories to life. The children are encouraged to participate by acting out the characters with their bodies and their voices. Participants are then invited to make a simple handicraft relating to the stories. The caregivers will be presented with a worksheet with other related story titles and ways to make reading fun for their little ones.
