PROJECT COLLECTION:
AN EVOLUTION IN DESIGN
THE EVOLUTION OF AN IDEA
Here I will show you some of my earlier projects that I started out doing, as I cut my
teeth in the design industry. I started out completely green in the scene aside from
knowing my way around PhotoShop a bit, and having a fairly keen business sense. I
started in a video game called Second Life, creating clothing and various items for the
people who play the game. And I will place a couple examples here so you can see
where I “cut my teeth” so to speak.
As you see, I was able to turn out some pretty high quality designs in that game. My goal
was to make designs that anyone in the game could afford and still look great I suppose. (I
came up with a lot more items than this, and if you are interested in seeing more of what I
created there, simply click here and you can view my online store I have associated with
my account).
Next I will show you some images from when I first started branching out on my own,
outside the game, and registered my business as a real Graphic Design business. I started
off working with a man who was trying to start a movement to keep Wrestling in the
(trademarked) Olympics. We had a few complications along the way when he actually
started to succeed in his quest. The Olympics contacted him and told him he had to remove
any reference to them from any of his ad campaigns. So I ended up having to redesign
everything, all over again to avoid any fallback. I admit though, we turned out some pretty
decent products, but…some of them were kind of a disaster. It was a learning experience
for both myself and my client at the time, but we worked together for a bit over a year or
two I believe. But it was primarily merchandise design and stationary type items I
designed for him, and his clients.
Here is a refrigerator magnet he had me design for one of the people who sponsored his movement. He
would often bring little projects like this my way, and though it didn’t really pay my bills at the time, it
did help me afford a few extra things now and then, and it was fun designing them honestly. In the end,
design, and creating are my passions.
Shortly after this client decided to move on to bigger and better things, An
old business associate and long term friend paid me a call, and asked me if I
would like to become the Web designer for his company, Capital Formation
Group. His company basically helps businesses of all sizes get loans, and
investors to help grow their business. Currently the primary client base
tends to be Real Estate companies of one kind or another. So for the rest of
this presentation I will simply provide the links to the websites I designed for
them so far.
Silmar
Capital Formation Group
And of course my own website:
(which still has a bit of work to do on it)
Falconvale Designs
The Company I am currently subcontracted with is a new start up company,
so it is likely I will be adding more to this list of links as time goes on, for now
these are the 3 sites which I currently design/redesign and maintain on a
regular basis. I have created others, but those clients have since moved on
and they have taken their sites down for varying reasons, so previewing
them is not possible at this stage. However, I am available to create websites
independently as well, and any other type of design product you may need.
So please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss what my
business can do for you. I look forward to hearing from you.
